'Pantang Maut Sebelum Ajal' Is The Theme Of Selangor FC’s 2023 Away Jersey.

Selangor FC is pleased to announce the release of the second jersey for the upcoming 2023 season. Specially designed embedding the never-give-up attitude and fighting spirit that was inspired by the Club's Chairman, DYTM Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al Haj in 10 Brigade (Para) - Malaysian Armed Forces, besides also embroidering the official colours and logos of the Royal Highness Crown Prince of Selangor.

To elaborate further, the Away jersey this time will don three colors as a continuation of the aforementioned chosen theme. The two colors on the collar, the Red Heart color, is inspired by the 'Red Beret' color symbolizing the involvement of His Highness the Crown Prince of Selangor in the 10 Brigade (Para) of the Army, while the Yellow Gold symbolizes the sovereignty of the Selangor Royal Institution. The main colour of this jersey is Forest Green, inspired by the paramilitary battlefield, which is also the official colour of His Highness the Prince of Selangor.

The Star and Moon symbol on the back of this jersey was inspired by His Highness the Crown Prince of Selangor's official flag, which incorporates green, red, and yellow hues, as well as the Star and Moon symbols combined in a round shape.

In addition, the use of the proverb 'Pantang Maut Sebelum Ajal' is placed on the inside of the collar as the motto or slogan of this 2023 Away jersey. This proverb is also the words of encouragement used by the 10th Brigade (Para) Regiment of the Army, which has a deep connotation of 'Non-Giving Up', as well as being quite synonymous with the spirit that the Red Giants hope to instill for the new season.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Selangor FC, Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon explained about the selection of the theme for the jersey this time.

"DYTM Raja Muda Selangor (RMS), Tengku Amir Shah, is a figure that we admire for his leadership who has brought many changes and progress to the Selangor FC team. Therefore, the achievements, fighting spirit and bravery of a leader and His Highness's soldiers have been taken as the main source of inspiration for the theme of the 2023 Away jersey. 

"Furthermore, this jersey also carries the message of ‘Don't Give Up’ as a campaign in an effort to continue to inspire everyone, including players, supporters and the public to fight together to overcome all challenges, not to give up easily facing he twists and turns of life,” according to Dr Johan when interviewed by Selangor FC Media.
